The City of Jacksonville instituted fees to specifically fund residential solid waste (garbage) collection and stormwater management.

THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW:

  • The 2010 stormwater and solid waste fees will be billed as non-ad valorem assessments on property tax bills
  • New applications and deadlines for 2010 will be released in March.
  • Applications received after July 31 may not be considered for the 2009 bill year.
  • The deadline for seeking a solid waste fee reimbursement for unoccupied/vacant residences is March 31, 2010.
