Our Chiefs

The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department leadership has more than 150 years of firefighting experience. The leadership team is appointed by the mayor and confirmed by the Jacksonville City Council.
 
Dan Kleman, formerly the city's chief administrative officer, has been appointed director of the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department.
 
Robert R. White, a former president of Firefighters Local 122, serves as deputy director/assistant fire chief. He has been with the department since 1979.
 
Chief Brady S. Rigdon leads the Operations Division, which has 877 personnel assigned to the city's 56 fire stations. He joined the department in 1991.
 
Chief Charles E. Moreland leads the Rescue Division, which has 207 personnel. He joined the department in 1990.
 
Chief Martin Senterfitt leads the Emergency Preparedness Division, which has a staff of 13. He joined the department in 1988.
 
Chief Anthony Roseberry leads the Fire Prevention Division, which has 27 personnel. He has served in the department since 1983.

Chief Eleanor Byrd runs the Training Division, which has 17 personnel. She has served in the department since 1991.

Chief Larry Peterson leads the Administrative Services Division, which has 17 personnel. He joined the department in 1984.
